Cornelia Veenendaal, one of the founders of the Alice James Poetry Cooperative, published her first and second collections of poetry with the Press: The Trans-Siberian Railway (1973), and Green Shaded Lamps (1977). A third volume, What Seas What Shore, was published in 1985 by the Rowan Tree Press.

Her poetry has appeared in Ploughshares, Hanging Loose, Sojourner, Prairie Schooner, The Connecticut Poetry Review, Soundings East, The Boston Phoenix, and other journals.

She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts/Amherst, and has an M.A. in literature from Yale. She has taught at Mount Holyoke, the University of Colorado, and the University of Massachusetts/Boston. A native of Springfield, Massachusetts, she lived for many years in Dorchester, Massachusetts, and now resides in Franconia, New Hampshire.
